About the Course
Photography and film are mediums that perfectly document and record significant events in our society as well as our lives. It also allows one the opportunity to visually express themselves. The photo element of this course will be to explore photo techniques both old and new! This will be a bit of the history, science and fun of photography lumped into one. The students will also learn elements of video making by creating footage of their choice and learning to combine and edit footage. This is photo/video at its best!

​ began teaching photography as a requirement to complete the MFA Fellowship program at the University of Miami and found I had a knack for it.  My approach to teaching has always been a bit different from traditional thought; the most challenging part of learning art and photography is for people to find out what they're visually passionate about; from there, everything else can be learned. I want people to leave my classes with a greater appreciation for what they see.  The technique will develop if you have the desire to learn.
The ART Club ga (originally MAM Youth Arts) was created as the photographic element for after school enrichment programs. Over the years, I came to realize that there are so many unique course types that children and adults alike can benefit from that have not been offered. Once offered in some of Miami's finest schools and collaborations with Panasonic, the Super Bowl Entertainment Committee and several more, I am constantly exploring ways to expand creative opportunities and passion for the arts for you and your family.
