Service Description

LIVING HISTORY: EXPLORING VIKINGS Course Cost: $150 + $30 Registration Fee Course Duration: 12 weeks Age: 8+ Course Description: This course covers various aspects of the cultures of those generally considered to be “Vikings” – focusing on the period between 700 and 1200 AD in Northern Europe. Covering the democratic nature of Norse society (expansion, conquest, and trading) and the integration of their native culture into society. Class topics will include: culture, daily life, Norse Gods and Goddesses, technology, food, armor and weapons, clothing and textiles, games, and more. Students will be given a ‘persona’ from the era to provide a personal perspective on the time and events. Classes will be presented in a living history manner, encouraging the students to become involved in the daily lives of their personas. If there is interest, recipes and ingredient lists can be provided for the food classes, and can include a cook-along.


Cancellation Policy

Refund Policy: The LEAD Refund policy, for the $30 per-class registration fee (shown as a deposit) for dropping a class is as follows: Class canceled 2+ weeks before classes begin - full refund of LEAD fees. Class canceled 2 weeks before classes begin - 50% refund of LEAD fees. Class canceled 1 week before classes begin, including after classes begin - no refund of LEAD fees If, for some reason, a class you have signed up for is canceled (either before or after the start of classes), you will have the option of receiving a refund of your LEAD per-class fee or applying it to another class. LEAD is only responsible for collecting or refunding LEAD fees. Any class fees that are owed directly to teachers, or any refunds required from teachers, shall be handled by the teacher.
