Biology Lecture + Lab Course Days & Times: Lab: Monday 10:30-11:30 a.m. Lecture: Tuesday 12:30-1:30 p.m. Teacher: Julia Lutgendorf & Robert Hill Course Cost: $430 Course Duration: 12 weeks Ages: 11+ Course Description: Introduction to Biology is a comprehensive course designed to introduce students to the fundamental concepts of biology. This course emphasizes the study of living organisms, their structures, functions, and interactions with their environments. Through a blend of lectures and hands-on experiments, students will develop a foundational understanding of biological principles and the scientific method. This class meets twice a week with lecture on Monday and lab on Tuesday. Students should expect a brief homework assignment to prepare them for the lab. Topics will include: the scientific method, lab safety and equipment, cell biology, genetics, evolution and natural selection, classification of living things, human biology, and ecology and the environment.
