Bridges and Other Challenges Thursdays, 12:30-1:25 PM Teacher: Kerrie Lynn, she/they Course Cost: $400. Sliding scale available. Please contact Kerrie at kerrie.p.lynn@gmail.com. Course Duration: 15 weeks Ages: 9-12 Students will work alone, in pairs and in small groups to build communication (verbal and non-verbal) and executive function skills; practice recovering from setbacks; work collaboratively; think strategically; plan ahead; and conceptualize time. This class provides a fun, safe way to practice skills relevant to all academic areas and build resilience in students. Each week, students will be presented with a unique challenge. We will build miniature bridges and other structures while moving through challenges related to materials, communication, or environments. Other challenges will focus on working with others and building skills on bartering and building consensus, as well. Students will reflect on what worked well and what they might want to do differently in the future.

Cancellation Policy
Refund Policy: The LEAD Refund policy for dropping a class is as follows: • Class canceled 1+ weeks before classes begin = full refund of class and LEAD fees. • Class canceled 1 week before OR after classes begin = no refund of LEAD fees. Refund of class fees is up to the discretion of the instructor. If, for some reason, a class you have signed up for is canceled by LEAD or the instructor (either before or after the start of classes), you will have the option of receiving a refund of your LEAD per-class fee or applying it to another class. These terms are subject to change per semester.
