Language Arts Tuesday 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM Cost: $294 + $30 LEAD Registration Fee Duration: 14 Weeks Ages 6 - 10 Course Description: It’s time to learn about the English language! In this class, we will learn all about ● English Concepts - what makes the English language work? ● Story Structure - what makes a story? ● Creative Writing - how do I write a story? ● Essay/Report Writing - how do I write about something I know? ● Beginning Public Speaking/Oral Reports - how do I speak in front of a group of people about something I know? ● Discussion - if a group has a question, how can we answer it together? We will learn about the English language through literary and informational reading and writing. We will gain an appreciation for stories and storytelling. We will explore what we can do with our imaginations, using the language and the storytelling tools we will learn. Our activities will be tailored to the class, and according to Georgia Standards by each student’s equivalent grade level.

If, for some reason, a class, camp, or workshop you have signed up for is canceled by LEAD or by the instructor prior to the start of class, you will receive a full refund of your Tuition and Fees. These terms are subject to change at the discretion of the LEAD Board.
