Elementary Social Studies Mondays, 11:30 AM-12:30 PM Teacher: Moraima Serra Course Cost: $205 Course Duration: 7 weeks, October 20-Dec 8 Ages: 6-10 Course Description: This course will start with the Montessori 5 Great Lessons, a secular series of impressionistic stories that give students a "big picture" of the world and life. Then, we'll dive into physical geography including the movements of the sun and earth, earth's atmosphere, hydrosphere, and lithosphere. As we learn the continents, cultural geography will be included by studying countries, capitals, maps, flags, and culture. This is a small group, hands-on class that follows the Montessori social studies curriculum. Students will need a notebook, coloring pencils, and regular pencils. Upper elementary students will have optional homework. Lower elementary students can request homework if they want.

Cancellation Policy

Refund Policy: All cancellations 7 days before classes begin can receive a full refund for both the tuition, supply fee, and LEAD Fees. **Refunds for Tuition and Supply Fees ONE WEEK BEFORE classes begin are at the discretion of the instructor.** The LEAD Refund policy for the $30 per-class registration fee for dropping a class is as follows: -- Class canceled 2+ weeks before classes begin = full refund of LEAD fees. -- Class canceled 2 weeks before classes begin= 50% refund of LEAD fees. -- Class canceled 1 week before or after classes begin= no refund of LEAD fees. If, for some reason, a class you have signed up for is canceled by LEAD or the instructor (either before or after the start of classes), you will have the option of receiving a refund of your LEAD per-class fee or applying it to another class. These terms are subject to change per semester.
