Fables For The World We Want Thursdays, 12:30-1:55 PM Teacher: Kerrie Lynn, she/they Course Cost: $405. Sliding scale available. Please contact Kerrie at kerrie.p.lynn@gmail.com. Course Duration: 15 weeks Ages: 9-12 Course Description: Students will study different versions of a popular fable, learning to apply critical thinking skills. Then they will create a new, improved fable with a moral they feel is relevant to today's social issues. This course will offer fun possibilities for collaborative storytelling, project-based learning, and individual skill development. Students will practice skills including critical thinking, reading comprehension and light literary criticism while discerning concepts such as main idea, perspective, inference, sequence, connection, prediction, visualizing, and figurative language. Students will have the opportunity to storyboard, draft, produce, and edit a fable.

Cancellation Policy

Refund Policy: The LEAD Refund policy for dropping a class is as follows: • Class canceled 1+ weeks before classes begin = full refund of class and LEAD fees. • Class canceled 1 week before OR after classes begin = no refund of LEAD fees. Refund of class fees is up to the discretion of the instructor. If, for some reason, a class you have signed up for is canceled by LEAD or the instructor (either before or after the start of classes), you will have the option of receiving a refund of your LEAD per-class fee or applying it to another class. These terms are subject to change per semester.
