Film Appreciation: Animation Edition Mondays, 1:30-2:25 PM Teacher: H Carter, they/she. Haymahhey@gmail.com. Course Cost: $350*** Course Duration: 15 weeks Ages: All ages In this class we will watch and discuss animations from around the world, and talk about how or if we have been moved by them. Each week we will alternate between watching a film and taking notes, and then discussing the movie as a group. We will discuss the film using our notes and dive into the plot, theme, and lessons of the media itself. We will also learn about the filmmaker, their background, and the various artistic styles we see! The goal of this class is to approach something meant for entertainment with intention and to think critically about what we are consuming, rather than simply consuming. Cancellation Policy
Refund Policy: The LEAD Refund policy for dropping a class is as follows: • Class canceled 1+ weeks before classes begin = full refund of class and LEAD fees. • Class canceled 1 week before OR after classes begin = no refund of LEAD fees. Refund of class fees is up to the discretion of the instructor. If, for some reason, a class you have signed up for is canceled by LEAD or the instructor (either before or after the start of classes), you will have the option of receiving a refund of your LEAD per-class fee or applying it to another class. These terms are subject to change per semester.
