Teachers: Ms Joy - Vocabulary Voyagers Let's explore words! We'll play fun games, move our bodies, and learn some truly weird and wild vocabulary words. 1. Campers will learn strategies for defining unfamiliar words. 2. Campers will be introduced to word roots, prefixes, and suffixes. 3. Campers will play with language - create new words, change word meanings, and gain a deeper understanding of how language works. 4. Campers will learn new vocabulary words as well as the fascinating etymology of some especially strange and interesting words. Ms Moraima - Spanish Through Hispanic Cultures This Spanish immersion course will take a trip to 8 different Spanish speaking countries. We'll learn their location on the map, music and dances, food, and artists. We'll use the first part of class each day to focus on vocabulary and useful phrases. The rest of the time will be used to learn about 2 countries each week. We will learn basic steps of folkloric dances for each chosen country, draw their flags, create artwork inspired by a famous artist from some of the countries, and we'll cook simple meals representing 4 of the countries throughout 4 weeks. Ms Carter - Art Dates for Summer 2026 June 22 - 26 (Session 1) June 29 - July 3 (Session 2) July 27 - 31 (Session 3) Program Structure: Ages 8 to 13 Monday through Thursday, 10am to 2pm Friday is a lighter community day Short show and share at LEAD around 10:30am on Friday Group trip to the park on Friday No formal classes on Friday Daily Schedule: Monday through Thursday 10:00 to 10:15 Morning Circle 10:20 to 11:15 Subject A 11:20 to 12:15 Subject B 12:20 to 12:50 Lunch and free play 12:55 to 1:45 Subject C 1:45 to 2:00 Closing Wind Down Friday Schedule: 10am Arrival and set up 1030-1115am Show Off 1130am-2pm Glenlake park/pool Adult Figures must transport campers to Glenlake Park. This structure provides three focused learning blocks per day, built in community time, and space for collaboration and open play. Camp Capacity and Tuition 6 camper minimum 12 camper maximum $250 per camper If minimum enrollment is not met, LEAD reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the camp session. Onsite Adult Lead Role Each camp session will have one designated Onsite Adult Lead.

Cancellation Policy

LEAD is a small, volunteer-run organization. As such our camp refund & rescheduling policies reflect the time required of volunteers, general operating cost, as well as the cost instructors absorb with cancellations. LEAD's Registration Fee of $50 is Non-Refundable (added into the tuition). Please see the camp description for a breakdown of fees (registration, tuition, & supply fees). Cancellations: 90 days BEFORE the START of camp: -- Full refund for tuition & supplies. -- NO refund on the $50 LEAD Registration Fee. 90 days from your camp's start date: -- You will incur a 25% Cancellation Fee on the cost of the tuition. -- NO refund on SUPPLY FEES -- NO refund on $50 LEAD's Registration Fee. Reschedules are allowed up to 30 days before camp begins providing space is available in the camp with which you wish to switch.
