LEARNING SKILLS Wednesdays 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM Teacher: Adam Cole Course Cost: $306 Course Duration: 12 weeks Ages: ALL How to learn whatever you need to know and keep what you've learned. Course Description: What do we need to do to be a better learner? Why do so many of us have trouble learning things like math, reading and writing, and foreign languages? When you know how to do something and you feel confident, you can move forward independently in school, work and life. How do we learn effectively in the least amount of time and retain our learning? This course discusses how to study math, reading and writing, and foreign languages. By the end of the class, you will be a more effective learner and studier in one or more of these subjects. These subjects share many aspects in common, from tricky concepts to a lot of vocabulary to the time it takes to practice the skills needed to master them. In addition, the application of our inborn skills in the Arts and Sports can offer powerful strategies and techniques that we already know and use. By starting with powerful learning principles like * Begin with the end in mind * Break goals and tasks into the RIGHT size steps * Try, notice, and renew You and your children can begin to master difficult subjects with greater ease and fluency.
