Machine Sewing Summer Camp at LEAD Camp Cost: $325 Camp Duration: 5 Days, 10 AM - 3 PM Age: 10+ Camp Description: Maybe your child got a sewing machine as a gift. Maybe they spent some time with Grandma or an Auntie learning some sewing techniques. Maybe your child is totally new to machine sewing. Here's a clamp where the can learn, re-learn, or build on skills! We'll cover all the machine basics--threading the machine, loading and changing a bobbin, basic cleaning. Basic stitches. Campers will make a lined drawstring bag and a pair of pajama pants. We'll cover reading a pattern and all the lingo that goes along with machine sewing. We'll also cover some basics about types of fabrics, where they come from, and how to care for them. (please note--reading the pattern, pinning, and cutting out the pattern all comprise at least 1/3 of a project) This is a great camp Ms. Judy loves to teach! We'll break in the middle of the day for lunch and snack as needed. Please send along a water bottle and sacked lunch.
