Course Duration: 15 weeks Ages: 9-12 We'll be examining, interpreting, drawing, and learning from maps, Maps, MAPS! We'll look at many different kinds of maps that show us pictures of our neighborhoods, city, state, country and world, and maybe beyond! We'll learn about latitude and longitude, map projections, and the purposes of different maps. We'll ask questions about where and why borders have been drawn, how places on maps get their names, and how maps change over time. Along the way, we'll create our own maps that show what's important to each of us, and think about how best to represent that information. Come join us!
