Physical Lab Science Tuesdays, 11 AM-12:15 PM Teachers: Julia Lutgendorf & Robert Hill Course Cost: $330. Course Duration: 15 weeks Ages: 9+ Course Description Physical Lab Science invites students to explore the world of physical science—the study of matter, energy, motion, and the forces that shape our everyday lives. Through hands-on labs, engaging demonstrations, and creative problem-solving challenges, students will build a strong foundation in how the physical world works. Learners will practice the scientific method as they investigate real-world questions, test predictions, collect data, and discover patterns. Concepts are introduced through accessible, age-appropriate experiments that encourage curiosity, teamwork, and confidence in scientific thinking. Topics Include • The scientific method and experimental design • Properties of matter and forms of energy • Forces, motion, and Newton’s Laws • Work, energy, and conservation laws • Simple machines and mechanical advantage • Plus additional exploratory labs throughout the session No prior math background is required—just curiosity and a readiness to experiment!

Cancellation Policy

Refund Policy: The LEAD Refund policy for dropping a class is as follows: • Class canceled 1+ weeks before classes begin = full refund of class and LEAD fees. • Class canceled 1 week before OR after classes begin = no refund of LEAD fees. Refund of class fees is up to the discretion of the instructor. If, for some reason, a class you have signed up for is canceled by LEAD or the instructor (either before or after the start of classes), you will have the option of receiving a refund of your LEAD per-class fee or applying it to another class. These terms are subject to change per semester.
