Understanding Past, Current and Future Events Through Culture: Anime Edition Tuesdays, 10-10:55 AM Teacher: Robert Hill, he/him Course Cost: $330 Course Duration: 15 weeks Ages: 12+ Course Description: We will use the works of legendary artists Hayao Miyazaki of Studio Ghibli and Eiichiro Oda of One Piece, along with additional journalistic writings and videos to examine past, current and future events around the world. By focusing on the backgrounds and current environments that inform Miyazaki and Eiichiro, students will explore themes of humanity vs the natural world; war and conflict; colonialism; revolution and more.

Cancellation Policy
Refund Policy: The LEAD Refund policy for dropping a class is as follows: • Class canceled 1+ weeks before classes begin = full refund of class and LEAD fees. • Class canceled 1 week before OR after classes begin = no refund of LEAD fees. Refund of class fees is up to the discretion of the instructor. If, for some reason, a class you have signed up for is canceled by LEAD or the instructor (either before or after the start of classes), you will have the option of receiving a refund of your LEAD per-class fee or applying it to another class. These terms are subject to change per semester.
