WRITING CLUB Mondays 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Teacher: Melissa Kacalanos Course Cost: $255 Course Duration: 12 weeks Ages: ALL Course Description: In this club, writers will share their own writing with their peers. Any type of writing is welcome: fiction, nonfiction, poetry, etc. Writers will read each other’s work and provide constructive criticism. We will also discuss subjects relevant to writing, such as the standards for different genres, and when to follow or break the rules of grammar. To share their writing, writers should print out enough paper copies of their work to give to everyone in the club, or if everyone has internet-enabled devices, they may share a link to their work in an app such as Google Docs. In the first meeting, we will discuss what sharing method works best for everyone.
